I built a career and a seven-figure agency on a tiny interview podcast that nobody listened to. No audience. No ads. Just conversations with people I wanted to know. Now I teach ambitious professionals to do the same.
Built on about 300 interviews and a client book worth $884,000 that came from relationships, not ad funnels.
A four-week live cohort that teaches employed professionals to launch a tiny interview podcast and use it to build the network that builds their future, without quitting their job.
I started interviewing people in March 2020, a college kid with no idea how to make money but who knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur one day. I recorded about 300 conversations over five years. Almost nobody listened at first. That was never the point. The podcast was a reason to reach out to people I wanted to know, not an audience to build. I am not a content creator, and I never wanted to be.
Social leverage is more robust than financial leverage.
One interview season turned into a relationship with one company. That relationship became $36,000 of clients and referred the biggest client of my career, worth $59,500. Later I helped build a marketing agency with a client book worth $884,000, and almost all of it came from relationships, not ad funnels. Referral conversations closed at about 16 percent. Cold and paid barely moved. Along the way I ran growth at Anthony Pompliano's Crypto Academy and went through Client Ascension, Ship30for30, and PGA. The pattern held every time: the relationships were the moat.
